large scale thermocompression stills featuring the LATEST AND HIGHEST RELIABILITY y2k COMPRESSOR

HIGH FLEXIBILITY : The STMC Pha Distiller offer, thanks also to a wide range of available optional devices, not only the lowest degree of energy and water consumption of the market but also offers the highest possible output flexibility in terms of:

  • Possibility to change the hourly capacity from 0 to the highest plant capacity (this interesting option allows, for instance, to avoid a storage tank)
  • Possibility to produce distillate at any temperature from 25/30 up to 85/90°C with the optional heat exchanger
  • Possibility to heat up the equipment by steam and/or by electricity (for instance by steam, during the day and by electricity during the night, when the cost/kW is cheaper).
  • Possibility to use feed water not only from pre-treatment plants such as the Reverse Osmosis and the Demineralizers, but also from simple and low cost softeners
  • Very user friendly controls, that allow a real simple operation , through standard SCADA system
  • Output of WFI at 1 – 1.5 bars, therefore avoiding extra booster pumps

VERY LOW RUNNING COSTS: If compared to the traditional multi – effect technology, THE NEW THERMO-COMPRESSION distillation technology allow enormous savings of:

  • Cooling water (the thermocompression requires NO cooling water)

  • Energy (the energy required to run a thermocompression distiller is less than 1/5 the energy required to run a Multiple effect Distiller

  • Accessories : the distillate is flowing out from the thermocompression distiller at a pressure of 1 – 1-5 bar ( in case of multiple effect it flows out at atmospheric pressure) thus avoiding the need for any booster pump.

  • Feedwater: the thermocompression can work also with simple softened water, saving the more expensive demineralized or osmotic infeed water

  • Depreciation: the thermocompression distiller, than to the slower boiling process is lasting some 30-40% more than then traditional multiple effect distiller and therefore the depreciation of the plant can be calculated in much longer term (15 – 20 years)
